Job Responsibilities:

Group Strategy

• Assist in strategic planning of the company in existing businesses, new business concepts, and international expansion
• Provide support in the identification of strategic issues and opportunities that could influence business growth and profitability
• Conduct market research, analyse and present data on topics related to the business to facilitate decision making
• Coordinate and follow up with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that project timeline is met
• Build financial models and provide financial analysis for business case simulations, project economics, funding plan

Corporate Finance

• Assist with conducting due diligence, analyse potential M&A targets in terms of business, strategy, financials, competitors, market outlook
• Assist in deal structuring, drafting of term sheets and coordination of M&A process from end to end
• Manage relationships with existing shareholders and potential investors
• Manage relationship with other stakeholders, such as the government, the community and the public
• Liaise with professional advisers in relation to corporate proposals, restructuring exercises or fund-raising activities as and when required.

Job Requirements:

• At least Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Finance/Accounting/Banking or equivalent.
• Minimum three (3-5) years relevant working experience in investment banking, corporate finance, management consulting, strategy, research or equivalent
• Strong analytical and arithmetic skills. The ability to identify and collect relevant data efficiently & distil insights from qualitative and quantitative analyses are vital
• Critical, strategic thinking, entrepreneurship qualities are a plus
• Chinese language proficiency is a plus
• Proficient in MS Office (MS Excel specifically), Bloomberg, Capital IQ etc.
• Excellent organisational, oral and written communication skills. The ability to ask relevant and probing questions are imperative
