The campaign — a first for the retailer — is held in conjunction with the nation’s Malaysia Day celebration, and will run from 1 to 30 September 2019. Malaysians will be able to enjoy discounts of up to 30 per cent on selected existing Malaysian brands at over 540 MR.DIY stores nationwide as well as through the retailer’s e-commerce platform and Shopee.  

 

“As a home-grown Malaysian brand ourselves, this is our way of paying tribute to fellow Malaysian brands that sell their products through our stores, while encouraging more of the local manufacturers or distributors to sell their products at MR.DIY,” says MR.DIY Vice President of Marketing, Mr. Andy Chin. 

 

“As a retailer whose motto and motivation are to provide our customers with good quality and value-for-money products at ‘Always Low Prices’, we are using this period of national pride to raise awareness to our loyal customers to support Malaysian made products that are available at our stores,” he adds.  

 

A total of 42 products across four categories (Hardware, Household, Electrical, and Car Accessories) will be on discount. These include water bottles, aluminium woks, mops, brooms, garbage bags, dustbins, cloth hangers, tool boxes, storage boxes, hand gloves, cleaning agents, car floor mats, car care products, electrical extensions and many others. Among the brands on sale are WAXCO, LAVA, KLEENSO, GENDANG, HOKAH, ZIRAFAH, PYE, LWD, SEKOPLAS, RAYACO, TECHPLAS, Kilat, x'traseal, felton, eplas, and elianware.
