MR.DIY CSR: Gutta Percha Tree Planting
MR.DIY joined hands together with Yayasan Telekom Malaysia and Yayasan Sukarelawan Siswa in Malaysia's largest Gutta Percha Tree Planting event in 24 hours, planting 1,050 trees.
The project was recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records, campaign sees planting of 5,017 trees across 23 locations in Peninsular Malaysia, and was inspired by the 'Greening Malaysia, Our Tree, Our Life' campaign under the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources to preserve the country's biological diversity.
Besides providing 16 volunteers to help plant the trees, MR DIY contributed 1,000 easy-grip diggers & hoes, 1,000 pairs of hand gloves, 1,000 pieces of face towels, 22 gardening hoes & 22 shovels for the volunteers to use during the activity.
