MR.DIY CSR: MR.DIY x Soroptimist International Club Damansara (SID) 45 Orang Asli Families
45 families of Orang Asli Kampung Sungai Kepong had reason to celebrate recently as MR.DIY collaborated with Soroptimist International Damansara (SID) to help them. The organisation (SID) also partnered with Saora Industries to install water filtration systems for the community.
In addition to the essentials, we also brought much-needed cheer to the Orang Asli community as we contributed 200 banana plants to them. The event that was held on 29 November, had each family receive the plants as well as home and personal care essentials consisting of garbage bags, brooms, mops, detergent, pail, shampoo, shower gel, and others.
We hope our contributions will enable the community to sustain themselves socially and economically. The results must be heartening to see in years to come.
