MR.DIY CSR: Taska and Tadika Istika Jaya Sports Day
MR.DIY recently sponsored 15 prize hampers containing stationary and educational toys to Malaysia Federation of The Deaf (MDF) through its Taska and Tadika Istika Jaya (OKU Pendengaran).
Some 16 children aged between three (3) to twelve (12) years old with hearing disabilities enjoyed their day out at the sports day held at Taska and Tadika Istika Jaya in Puchong, Selangor on 23 July 2022. Various interesting games have been contested, and all activities featuring learning elements such as bean bag on head, sack race, giant clogs, building glass towers and many others.
Joining the children at the sports day were the parents, teachers, and volunteers from various NGOs.
Taska and Tadika Istika Jaya (OKU Pendengaran) is a community-based education centre, providing early education for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing children from pre-school to primary school for the transit programme. Taska and Tadika Istika Jaya is the only centre that accommodates Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing children in Malaysia.
We hope these small gestures contributed to the overall success of the event and we will continue to support initiatives that promotes diversity and to empower the sports culture amongst society in Malaysia.
