MR.DIY Supports Its Customers By Giving Out 3.5 Million Face Masks Nationwide
Home improvement retailer is giving out complimentary face masks to help customers curb the spread of illness, in light of the recent coronavirus global outbreak
KUALA LUMPUR, 6 February 2020 — In light of the recent coronavirus (2019-nCoV) global outbreak, and to help address the nationwide demand for face masks, home improvement retailer, MR.DIY, is giving out 3.5 million face masks to its customers nationwide, while stocks lasts. 
 
This initiative, which started on 30 January 2020, also aims to raise awareness of other healthy practices to help curb the spread of illnesses. 
 
At a press conference announcing the initiative held at the MR.DIY store in Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur, MR.DIY Chairman, Dato’ Azlam Shah Alias, said: “By giving away face masks, we are doing our level best as a retailer to be part of the solution by providing Malaysians with alternative preventive measures against the spread of infectious diseases. 
 
“We hope that this humble gesture and initiative from MR.DIY will be able to assist the public, especially our customers, to get face masks in order to take cautionary measures in a time of need,” he added.
