MR.DIY Philippines Wins Three Honors at 2026 ACES Awards
KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA, October 16, 2026 — MR.DIY Philippines (Bricolage Philippines, Inc.) has earned three honors at the 2026 Asia Corporate Excellence and Sustainability (ACES) Awards in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, recognizing its retail leadership, environmental initiatives, and the inspiring leadership of its Chief Executive Officer, Roselle Marisol Andaya.

MR.DIY Philippines received the Industry Champions of the Year and Green Initiative Award, while Andaya was named one of Asia’s Most Inspiring Executives. The recognition affirms the company’s commitment to expanding access to affordable everyday essentials while advancing responsible business practices, environmental sustainability, and inclusive opportunities for Filipinos.

Held at Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur, the ACES Awards recognize organizations and leaders across Asia for their contributions to corporate excellence, sustainability, and long-term value creation.

Growing with purpose and bringing value closer to Filipinos

The Industry Champions of the Year recognition reflects MR.DIY Philippines’ continued growth in the country’s retail sector, supported by its commitment to affordability, accessibility, operational excellence, and customer service.

Since joining the company in 2018, Andaya has helped steer its expansion from six pioneering stores to a nationwide network of more than 1,000 locations, bringing its wide assortment of affordable everyday products closer to Filipino households and communities.

With more than 18,000 products across categories including home improvement, household essentials, furnishings, stationery, toys, automotive accessories, and other lifestyle needs, MR.DIY Philippines continues to make practical products accessible to consumers in both urban centers and rural communities.

Maintaining a consistent customer experience across such a broad network requires strong operating systems, standardized processes, rigorous training, and disciplined supply chain and inventory management. The company also continues to invest in its people and capabilities to ensure that customers receive the same value, convenience, product choices, and quality of service wherever they shop.

In 2026, MR.DIY Philippines further strengthened its brand positioning through Gusto Mong Buhay, emphasizing its role as an everyday ally that helps Filipinos pursue their aspirations and build the lives they want.

Making sustainability part of everyday business

The Green Initiative Award recognizes MR.DIY Philippines’ efforts to reduce its environmental impact and encourage more sustainable practices across its operations and communities.

As its retail footprint expands, the company continues to pursue practical, long-term environmental initiatives, particularly in renewable energy adoption, waste management, and plastic recovery.

Its renewable energy efforts include sourcing electricity from 100% renewable energy for its major warehouses and 30 stores, while six stores have installed solar panels. These include its hybrid solar-with-battery pilot store in Jordan, Guimaras, which explores solutions to reduce reliance on conventional electricity sources and improve energy resilience.

MR.DIY Philippines is also advancing waste management and circularity initiatives through partnerships and community-based programs. Among these is its support for Quezon City’s Trash-to-Cashback program, which encourages proper waste segregation and recycling by rewarding participants for their environmental efforts.

The company’s plastic stewardship initiatives complement these efforts. In 2025, MR.DIY Philippines funded the recovery of 605 metric tons of post-consumer plastic, with particular emphasis on flexible plastics that are typically more difficult to recycle. It also adopted three Aling Tindera plastic buy-back centers, supporting the continued operation of women-run community facilities that contribute to local waste collection, recycling, and livelihoods.

These initiatives reflect the company's approach to sustainability: translating environmental responsibility into practical actions that can be integrated into business operations and shared with employees, customers, partners, and communities.

Recognizing leadership that inspires lasting impact

Andaya’s recognition as one of Asia’s Most Inspiring Executives highlights a leadership philosophy centered on disciplined growth, accountability, inclusion, and long-term impact.

Appointed CEO in 2022, she became the first female Country CEO in MR.DIY’s global history. Since then, she has continued to champion an approach to business growth that places equal importance on operational excellence, people development, ethical governance, and environmental responsibility.

Under her leadership, MR.DIY Philippines has pursued gender-neutral hiring in warehouse operations, opening opportunities in roles traditionally associated with men. The company has also introduced its Store Internship Program for Special Learners, providing hands-on retail experience and opportunities for neurodiverse individuals, including interns on the autism spectrum.

Her leadership has also helped advance the integration of environmental, social, and governance principles into the company's business decisions, alongside initiatives in renewable energy, plastic recovery, and community development.

For Andaya, responsible growth means ensuring that the company's expansion creates value beyond its stores and commercial performance. It means building an organization where people can develop, communities can benefit, and environmental responsibility becomes part of how business is conducted every day.

A shared achievement for the MR.DIY Philippines team

For MR.DIY Philippines, the ACES Awards recognitions are a testament to the collective contributions of its more than 15,000 employees, whose everyday work supports the company’s growth and commitment to its customers and communities.

“These recognitions are a great source of pride for the entire MR.DIY Philippines team. They affirm that as we grow, we are not only reaching more Filipinos, but also growing responsibly and making a positive impact on our communities and environment,” Andaya said.

“For our more than 15,000 employees, these awards remind us that every store, every customer interaction, and every initiative contributes to something bigger. They inspire us to keep improving, serving our customers better, and creating value for our people, communities, and the environment.”

As MR.DIY Philippines continues to expand its reach, the company remains committed to making everyday products accessible and affordable while strengthening its sustainability initiatives and creating inclusive opportunities.

Through its retail operations, environmental programs, and people-centered leadership, MR.DIY Philippines aims to demonstrate that business growth and positive impact can progress together—creating a ripple effect that extends from its stores to the communities it serves.
