Sharing smiles this Chinese New Year with MR D.I.Y. Marvellous CNY

KUALA LUMPUR, 10 February 2026 - This Chinese New Year (CNY), Yayasan MR D.I.Y. continues its annual festive outreach by bringing the spirit of celebration to charitable homes and care centres across Malaysia, ensuring that communities in need can share in the joy of the season.

As part of its MR D.I.Y. Marvellous CNY initiative, the Foundation reached 14 homes nationwide, extending festive cheer to residents through meaningful on-ground engagement and thoughtful contributions. The initiative involved a total contribution of RM14,000, supporting both festive celebrations and the daily living needs of residents across the participating homes.

The Yayasan MR D.I.Y. team distributed Marvellous CNY care boxes to orphanages, senior citizen homes, and centres supporting individuals with disabilities. Each care box included Chinese New Year treats alongside essential household items. The initiative benefited more than 800 individuals across the country.

Yayasan MR D.I.Y. Chief Executive Officer, Zaleha Mohd Mydin, said, “Chinese New Year is a time for sharing joy and celebrating together. Through our MR D.I.Y. Marvellous CNY initiative, we want to bring that festive warmth to communities and remind them that they are not forgotten during this special season.”

She added, “We are thankful to our partner homes and our volunteers for working closely together to create meaningful moments this festive season. We wish everyone a happy and prosperous Chinese New Year.”

Residents and volunteers share a joyful moment as they celebrate the Marvellous CNY together, enjoying festive decorations, thoughtful gifts, and the company of the MR D.I.Y. PANDAi mascot.

At Yayasan Sunbeams Home in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, volunteers marked the occasion with festive activities, traditional decorations, and a Lou Sang session symbolising prosperity and unity. During the visit, MR D.I.Y.’s Group Vice President of Marketing, Alex Goh, presented the home with RM3,000 in MR D.I.Y. cash vouchers to support the purchase of everyday necessities.
