MR D.I.Y. launches ‘Kini, Produk MR D.I.Y. Tahan Lebih Lama’ initiative
First ‘rice cooker’ pop-up store in Bukit Bintang
Introduces limited edition merchandises: BUDDiY mini plushie series and PANDAi sling bags
KUALA LUMPUR, 01 October 2025 — Malaysians’ favourite home improvement retailer, MR D.I.Y. Group [M] Berhad [MR D.I.Y.], has embarked on a new journey to showcase the quality of its products in a creative way.
Through its latest initiative, “Kini, Produk MR D.I.Y. Tahan Lebih Lama” [Now MR D.I.Y. Products Last Even Longer], the retailer hosted its first-ever pop-up store in the heart of Bukit Bintang. The event welcomed visitors with a striking 16-foot giant rice cooker-shaped installation, complete with steam effects that captivated families and passersby.
From 1 to 15 October, KL-ites can visit MR D.I.Y.’s giant rice cooker pop-up store in Bukit Bintang. Inside, shoppers will find a wide range of quality products on sale. All certified by Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Air Negara [SPAN] for water fittings, Standards and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia [SIRIM] for quality and safety standards, Certificate of Conformity to European Toy Safety Standard [COC EN71] for toy safety, and Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission [MCMC] for multimedia equipment. These certifications highlight MR D.I.Y.’s dedication to providing products that are safer, stronger, and meet the highest standards.
The launch event also featured a lively PANDAi surprise flash mob that engaged the crowd and handed out complimentary nasi lemak. Adding to the excitement, the retailer also introduced exclusive PANDAi sling bags and the adorable BUDDiY mini plushie series; Steamie the rice cooker, Sizzy the iron, and A-HA! the lightbulb.
