Malaysia’s future in the arts is shining bright!!
Today in 1 Utama Shopping Centre we awarded over RM30,000 worth of prizes to 21 deserving young talents who participated in MR.DIY Art Competition 2022.
MR.DIY Art Competition aims to cultivate an appreciation for Malaysian art, which in turn will inspire a rich and diverse creative ecosystem and provide a sustainable platform for Malaysians to show their talent
Winner Announcement
MR.DIY Art Competition 2022 [ENDED]
Young and emerging artists will be given the opportunity to produce art that best interprets and conveys the theme of the competition to stand a chance to win RM31,500 worth of prizes. In addition, participants are also strongly encouraged to express their appreciation of other elements that best represents Malaysia’s culture and heritage.

1. The objectives of the competition are:
-to promote and cultivate an appreciation for our Malaysian art; and
-to provide emerging talents with a platform to showcase their abilities to a wider audience.

2. The theme:
"Kita Jaga Kita. What's Next Malaysia?"
3. Our theme explained:
The COVID-19 pandemic has been challenging for all Malaysians, but it also brought out some of the best in us. Over the past 2 years, we have witnessed countless occasions when Malaysians stepped forward to help each other, sharing food, caring for one another, offering jobs and financial assistance, sharing burdens.
The true spirit of #KitaJagaKita.
How do we capture and celebrate this spirit of togetherness, and where do we think it will take us as a nation?
4. Open to:
All Malaysian citizens and permanent residents residing in Malaysia aged 33 years old and below. Candidates aged 18 years old and below must obtain prior permission from a parent and/or legal guardian.
5. Official Entry Form:
All participants are required to fill in and submit the Official Entry Form which can be obtained from our website. Participants must submit the Official Entry Form to the Organizer (via email to [email protected]) not later than 1 April 2022.
