The theme of this year's competition is “Reality of abstraction” in which young and emerging artists will be given the opportunity to produce art which best interprets and conveys the theme of the competition.

Our theme explained:
“Reality of Abstraction” is an exploration of the intricate relationship between imagination and reality. It challenges artists of all genres to present their abstract interpretation of an event or subject, capturing and bringing to life the elusiveness of the idea in a kaleidoscope of colours, shapes, and emotions. From the subtle distortions of familiar scenes to the profound deconstruction of conventional forms, entrants are invited to interpret and represent the elusive nature of reality through the lens of abstraction.

We look forward to welcoming your submissions. Upon submission, please provide a short statement to explain/describe your artwork (no more than 2OO words).

6. Conditions

Please send us digital pictures/entries of your artwork before 30 April 2024. The competition judges will shortlist the artworks that they would like to evaluate for prize consideration. The organizer will then contact the respective artist for submission of the actual artwork for judging.
